King Creole to czwarty i ostatni film, w którym Elvis wystąpił przed wojskiem. Nagranie ścieżki dźwiękowej rozpoczęło się 15 stycznia 1958 roku. W tym dniu Elvis nagrał 18 take King Creola lecz jakoś bez polotu. Wrócono do tego utworu 23 stycznia i tu po 13 teke wybrano ten właściwy master. Piosenka trafiła na czwórkę King Creole vol. 1 (RCA Victor EPA 4319) i na płytę długogrającą (RCA Victor LPM 1884) obie wydane w sierpniu 1958r. Wersje z 15 stycznia możemy posłuchać na CD Elvis King Creole (RCA/BMG 67454-2) z 1997r.
