What's She Really Like została nagrana na potrzeby G. I. Blues, piątego filmu z udziałem Elvisa. Sesja nagraniowa rozpoczęła się 27 kwietnia 1960 roku  i poświęcona została w większości na nagranie What`s She Really Like. Elvis bawił się utworem śpiewając ją raz szybciej raz wolniej. Na wersje master wybrano mix podejścia 19 i końcówki podejścia 22 (Work Part-Ending). Wersja ta trafia na płytę G. I. Blues (RCA Victor LPM-2256), która do amerykańskich sklepów dociera w październiku 1960r.
